USADA has posted the testing statistics for the first quarter of 2011 on its website. A total of 1,519 doping control tests were performed in the first quarter. Of those tests, 550 were performed in-competition, and 969 were out-of-competition (OOC) tests. OOC testing typically occurs at the athlete’s home, training facility or other location and is performed with no advance notice to the athlete; however, some OOC tests are coordinated during team training camps.
